AVID

Eatonville School District is dedicated to the success of all students. Like all districts Eatonville has programs for students with special needs and highly capable students.

However, unlike some other districts Eatonville has made a commitment to providing whole school instruction for students in the middle. It's here that AVID, or Advancement Via Individual Determination comes into play. This program which focuses on organization and learning strategies benefit a large number to students in the middle who can achieve at higher levels with a little more support and direction.

Approximately half of Eatonville's teachers have been trained in AVID strategies. AVID is used in classrooms in conjunction with other curricula. This happens at Eatonville Middle School.
