Mt. Rainier Parent Partnership
Mt. Rainier Parent Partnership recognizes and supports family choice education where parents are the first and most important educators for their children. Through Mt.Rainier Parent Partnership families can enjoy the benefits of being highly involved in their child's learning while accessing the resources made available to all K-5 public school students in Washington State.
MRPP teachers assist parents who have the desire to homeschool their students. While the parent/guardian is the primary teacher, we have a certificated teacher to work alongside you to create a Personalized Learning Plan, monitor your student’s progress using weekly communication, provide monthly reporting, as well as interventions if necessary.
For enrollment purposes, we require that students commit to the MRPP on a semester basis. Questions on this program for grades K-5? Contact Katey Peterson: k.peterson@eatonville.wednet.edu
Eatonville Online Academy
The Eatonville Online Academy is a full-time or part-time online program for students interested in an alternative setting. We offer the full range of classes (ELA, History, Science, PE/Health, Electives and Math) for students and they are all online. We utilize the Spokane Virtual Learning classes for Math and HS credit level Electives and use the Edgenuity program for all of the other classes. Students are required to work each day and complete the required lessons on a daily basis. Typical lessons are from 45 minutes-1.5 hours for each class, each day. Students need to have quality internet access as well as a laptop or Chromebook to use. (We have found that tablets are not sufficient for the type of work students are completing.)
Students who enroll in the EOA will have weekly (or more, as needed) virtual contact with teachers and staff who can help guide their work. For enrollment purposes, we require that students commit to the EOA on a semester basis.
