PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES

●      District-issued Chromebooks will be used in classrooms and for activities that further the educational mission of the district.

●      Personal electronic devices such as cell phones, digital media devices, tablets, personal computers, earbuds and/or headphones, ect., are not permitted from the first bell until the last bell of the school day. Cell phones are “off and away all day” and may be confiscated to be held in the main office if violations are observed by staff.

●      All students must abide by the rules in School Board Policy and Procedure 2022/2022p Electronic Resources and Safety.

●      District-issued Chromebooks are NOT PERMITTED during the following times and areas:

o       Meal Times

o       Passing Periods or hallways (All day)

o       Bathrooms (All day)

o       Locker Rooms (All day)

●      If electronic devices and headphones are used during a non-permitted time or location, it may be confiscated and retained in the main office until the end of the day or for parent pick up if required.

●      If a student has an emergency situation during the school day that requires a parent/guardian phone call, the student should make arrangements with a staff member to use a school phone or ask for permission to go to the office to use the school phone or their own phone.

●      At no point are students allowed to photograph, video or record other students or staff.

●      Personal computers (laptops, Chromebooks, etc.) are NOT allowed at school unless pre-authorized by an administrator.

●      The School and District accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or destruction of personal electronic devices brought onto school property.
