Assemblies

Assemblies are our chance to celebrate student successes, enrich learning and gather as a school community.  Assemblies will begin on time.  If you arrive late, please wait for a good transition time before making an entrance.   During assemblies, teachers will remain with their class (unless they are on their planning time and then the specialist will be with the class) or roam the bleachers assisting with monitoring behavior and control voice levels in the audience.

Assembly manners.  Students will:

1.     Be escorted by their teacher to all assemblies

2.     Sit in the row on the floor where their grade level sign is placed

3.     Wait for the assembly to begin using a level 2 voice

4.     Focus attention on the speaker(s)/performer(s)

5.     During the assembly voices will be at level 0

6.     Stand with a level 0 for the Pledge of Allegiance

7.     Applaud appropriately

8.     Exit with a voice level 1 when excused

Every effort will be made to schedule an all-school recess after an assembly that lasts longer than 45 minutes.
